Increase in U.S. designated school officials promises much more schooling opportunities for international immigrants’ dependants

The Department of Homeland Security is now focusing exclusively on making radical changes to the Student Exchange Visitor Program so that the dependants of international immigrants gain more access to education in the United States.

The Department deploys a designated school official in every institution who acts as the bridge between the particular institution and the SEVP. The official is also responsible for overseeing the school’s compliance to U.S laws related to visa and immigration in accepting/denying international students for admissions.

As per the new policy, the number of designated school officials allotted to an institution is being increased. The Department insists that this new formulation will allow education to reach farer and wider to international immigrants’ dependants. Since the number of designated school officials is being proliferated, emphasis on education of international immigrants’ dependants increases and there’s a buzz that the education among such dependant circles will be propagandized rather aggressively from here on.

For spouses and children of international immigrants in the U.S., this is a refreshing bit of news as this will let them find sustainability on their own since education is one of the foremost steps that facilitate such sustainability.
